Unknown File Type

Problem with entry for File Type in RTS Control Table.  This entry is case sensitive.

In [dbo].[RPSControl] table, update [File Type] using SSMS.

A network related or instance specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server

Correct the Server: field to resolve

Cannot open database "[DatabaseName]" requested by the login.  The login failed.

Correct the Database: field.  If that appears to be correct, verify that the server name is the intended server.

Unable to find table 'RPSTaxPayments' in database.

The database exists, but it is not a Payment Importer database.

If this is a recently update to the Payment Importer software, this may generate a similar error if the Database is the older version.  See the article about updating the tables in the database.

Unknown File Type

This indicates that the connection to the database was successful, but there is a problem with the entry in the RPSControl table in the PI database.  This entry is case sensitive, and needs to match the case in the File Type drop down menu of the software.

To correct this, use the following script

update RPSControl

SET FileType = 'Nacha'

WHERE lControl_id = 1

If another default file type is preferred, such as RTL, just make sure the case listed in the RPSControl table matches the case in the software.
