How to Clear the Chrome Browser Cache

Sometimes the browser caches an incorrect username and tries to automatically log a user in with that incorrect username. Clearing the cache will remove the incorrect username from the stored cache, so a new attempt to log in can be made. In addition to that reason, sometimes the cache stores an incorrect spelling of a website or an older version of an application that can cause an assortment of errors. Clearing the cache will remove the outdated version of the application from the memory of the browser.

NOTE: Be sure to clear the cache of the computer's default browser.

1. Click on the three dots on the far right side of the browser bar.

2. Choose the Settings option from the dropdown.

3. Click the Privacy and Security option from the menu on the left side.

4. Click Clear Browsing Data in Privacy and Security Menu.

5. Choose All time from dropdown under both Basic and Advanced tabs. Click the Clear data button.
